Quality Assurance
International Certifications Supporting Responsible Recycling Standards
High-quality recycling management depends on strict standards and professional execution. Fernyeu has achieved R2v3 verification and meets EPEAT requirements for qualified downstream processors. We have also adopted international management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 14064, and ISO 27001, building a comprehensive quality management framework that supports environmental, safety, quality, carbon management, and information security requirements.

Fernyeu Metal R2v3 Certification: Responsible Recycling for a Greener Future
R2v3 may be unfamiliar to many people. Before explaining what R2v3 means, one useful benchmark is that 1,245 companies worldwide have obtained R2v3 certification, including 244 in Asia and only three in Taiwan. Fernyeu Metal is one of those three companies. (Figures are based on SERI data as of March 2025.)
Fernyeu Metal is committed to environmental responsibility and the professional recycling and reuse of electronic waste. As proper e-waste management becomes increasingly important, we obtained R2v3 certification, one of the recognized high standards in the global electronics recycling industry. The R2 (Responsible Recycling) Standard v3 places stronger emphasis on the proper management of used electronics, requiring recycling processes to be legal, safe, and designed to maximize resource recovery.
R2v3 also extends beyond in-house operations. It emphasizes downstream vendor review, responsibility control, transparency, and traceability throughout the downstream chain. Fernyeu Metal’s recycling and processing workflows are therefore aligned with EPEAT requirements for qualified downstream processors, helping corporate customers meet supply-chain review, procurement, sustainability governance, and responsible recycling requirements with confidence.
We continue to use R2v3 as a benchmark for internal procedures, process improvement, and circular economy practices. For us, R2v3 is not only a certification. It is a concrete expression of our environmental commitment and a standard that guides how we handle electronic waste responsibly.
Core Commitments of R2v3 Certification
- Environmental and legal compliance: Strictly follow domestic and international environmental regulations to ensure all recycling processes are legal, safe, and aligned with international electronics recycling standards.
- Data security management: All electronic devices are handled through rigorous data destruction procedures to protect personal and corporate information.
- Optimal resource use: Follow the R2v3 hierarchy by prioritizing reuse, then materials recovery and energy recovery, to achieve efficient circular reuse.
- Worker and operational safety: Provide a safe working environment, reduce occupational risks, and protect the health and safety of employees and partners.
- Continuous improvement and innovation: Keep improving quality, environmental, and operational safety standards while working with supply-chain partners to advance responsible recycling and sustainability.
The Value of R2v3 Certification
- Stronger international competitiveness: As one of the few R2v3-certified companies in Taiwan, Fernyeu Metal demonstrates recycling practices that meet global standards and support international cooperation.
- Greater customer confidence: Third-party certification gives customers stronger assurance that our recycling process is transparent and secure.
- Environmental and social responsibility: Scientific management helps reduce the environmental impact of e-waste, lower the carbon footprint, and put ESG commitments into practice.
- Data and privacy protection: Secure data destruction provides complete privacy protection for customers and enterprises.
- Maximized resource reuse: Through improved recycling technology, electronic equipment and metal materials can be given new life and contribute to a true circular economy.
Fernyeu Metal will continue to build on R2v3 standards in the field of electronic waste recycling, applying responsible recycling practices and innovative technologies to support sustainable development and create a greener future with businesses and society.
